We asked Board members to respond to the statement: "I give my time to PPWI because..."

"I serve on the Board of Directors for PPWI because the organization makes a positive difference for women and families in Wisconsin. The dedicated staff work with women and families at all levels of our society to make their lives productive and better the overall quality of life within the communities which they reside in."

"I am committed to Planned Parenthood's long standing tradition of providing affordable and comprehensive health care services to women of all ages. I am committed to Planned Parenthood's provision of education and family planning services. Equally important, I am committed to helping Planned Parenthood ensure that a woman's right to choose is maintained and not further compromised."

"I believe that guaranteeing the reproductive rights of every woman is the most important work I can do. A woman's right to control her own body is such a fundamental issue for me that I can't imagine having to live without it."

"I support the mission of the organization. Also, because of the clinical services and educational programs PPWI provides to girls, young women and women across the state of Wisconsin. I volunteer so the next generation of African American women will have choice with respect to their reproductive health."

"We cannot have a truly democratic society if women and men do not have freedom to make reproductive choices and to realize sexual health. This freedom depends on the advocacy work of PPWI to protect these rights and the education and clinical services to make them real."

"All men and women should have access to the resources that can empower him/her to make informed choices. Ignorance or unrealistic expectations harms us all and as a society we are responsible for providing the tools and education needed to become free and responsible members of the community."

"I believe in choice. I believe in reproductive education. I also believe in responsible parenting and doing all we can across the state to help reduce the number of teen pregnancies. PPWI is the leader in these important issues."

"I give my time to PPWI and serve as a Board member because of PPWI's advocacy on behalf of everyone's right of reproductive freedom."

"It's the best way to support excellence in health care, courage in advocating and protecting choice and access to all aspects of sex education."

"It is a very worthwhile cause. It is imperative that women of all ages and economic means have the ability to receive health services, education and advocacy."

"I feel strongly about PPWI's mission."

"Planned Parenthood is a organization which transcends issues of race, gender, and ethnicity to fight for a fundamental human right--the right to have reproductive choice. It is a right that must be defended."

"I give my time to PPWI because the mission of Planned Parenthood is to educate, advocate and promote services that support reproductive rights."

"Teen pregnancy ruins lives. The world is overpopulated and getting more so. Unplanned pregnancies should be a thing of the past. Children of teenage mothers too frequently grow up to be troubled youths, criminals and so on, and continue the cycle of poverty and welfare dependence."

"I support PPWI's mission."
