OPEN HOUSE A SUCCESS!

More than 250 Dane County medical professionals, faith leaders, policymakers and other friends of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) celebrated the opening of the new South Madison Family Planning and Education Center at 2222 S. Park Street on January 23.

The 4,400 square foot facility was built by the generosity of the Dane County community through a $700,000 capital campaign to enhance reproductive health care access for women and families in greater Dane County. Located at the Villager Mall redevelopment site, the new health center represents a remarkable collaboration between the Urban League of Greater Madison’s new job training and economic development center and the new South Madison Public Library. The center is also the new home to PPWI’s community education department, which reaches nearly 3,000 teens and young adults in Dane County.

“Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin once again demonstrates its unwavering commitment to enhancing health care access and outcomes for women and their families in our community with this new family planning and community education center,” said Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, who was our special guest. “I congratulate them on realizing this remarkable project, where community members will have convenient, one-stop access to family planning health care, job training, and life-long learning under one roof.”
