Understanding the importance and critical role of technology in delivering state-of-the-art health care, the Lubar Family has initiated a resounding $100,000 Challenge Grant to propel Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s (PPWI) health care model into the 21st century. Over the next two years, PPWI will implement a strategic plan for technology infrastructure upgrades. These upgrades will allow for superior data collection and reporting and also enable PPWI to better serve patients by enhancing appointment scheduling, shortening wait times and allowing for real time insurance/Medicaid verification. A significant component of this plan includes purchasing and installing a new Practice Management System and Electronic Medical Records, which will increase health center efficiency and quality of care while distinguishing PPWI as a technologically evolved health care provider.

“We are committed to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s mission. As a family, we recognize that technology is, and will continue to be even more in the future, a crucial factor in enabling PPWI to provide essential health care to those who need their services. To celebrate and kick off PPWI’s 75th anniversary, we’re challenging donors to join us by making an extra gift to support technology,” says Marianne Lubar. Read more about this in our November 2009 article Technology Infrastructure Upgrades.
