Your visit to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is completely confidential. We believe that the decisions you make about your health and sexuality are very personal and private. We will not tell anyone that you visited one of our clinics without getting your permission first.

There are some instances in which we are required to report information to different state agencies.

Positive STI tests. We are required to report cases of sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhea, herpes, HIV and clamydia) to the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. However, the DHHS also keeps this information confidential.

Child Abuse. Health and medical professionals must report suspected child abuse cases to the police.

Sexual Abuse or Neglect.
We must also report certain kinds of sexual conduct which are considered abuse or neglect.
